Nasacort Allergy Nasal Spray works by reducing swelling and inflammation in the nasal passages, the root cause of the nasal symptoms of hay fever. It does this because of the corticosteroid it contains, a man-made version of a hormone normally produced by the body. This hormone controls part of our body’s inflammation levels, allowing this spray to reduce them.

Initially, you should administer two sprays into each nostril once a day. Once your symptoms are under control, try reducing the dose to one spray into each nostril once a day. It can take Nasacort Allergy Nasal Spray three to four days before it starts to work. Therefore, it is best to use the medication regularly each day, so you can stop your symptoms before they occur.

If your symptoms do not go away after using Nasacort Allergy Nasal Spray for 14 days, you should speak with your doctor or pharmacist. Also, make sure you speak with your doctor before using the medication for longer than three months. 

As always, do not use the medication if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in it. Unless prescribed by a doctor, anyone under 18 should not use Nasacort Allergy Nasal Spray.
