Bonjela Cold Sore Cream is an effective way to treat cold sores and prevent them recurring.

Bonjela Cold Sore Cream is based on the Active Medical Ingredient UV-Active™, which is effective against cold sores caused by herpes simplex virus type-1 (HSV-1).

Herpes simplex is characterised by painful, burning or itchy blisters on and around the lips.

UV-Active™ creates a protective film layer on the skin cells of the cold sore, preventing attachment of virus particles to the cells.

It also protects the skin from harmful environmental stimuli, such as UV radiation.

Suitable for

This product can be used by adults, children aged 4 years and older, and diabetics.

How to use

• Before using: Consult your doctor or pharmacist if the symptoms last for longer than 5 days without improving, or if you notice any unusual discharge.
• If you are taking any medication and are unsure, please talk to a doctor or pharmacist before use.
• You should not use the cold sore cream if you are allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients.

UV-Active™, Paraffinum Liquidum, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Ethylene/Propylene Copolymer, Polyisobutene, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Aqua, Punica Granatum Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Illicium Verum Seed Oil, Mentha Piperita Oil, Isostearic Acid, Cinnamal, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Oil, Ocimum Tenuiflorum Oil, Linalool, Limonene, Eugenol, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Coumarin, Isoeugenol

Usage instructions

• Wash your hands before and after each application of Bonjela Cold Sore Cream.
• Squeeze the bottom of the tube to push the cream out onto the fingertip.
• Gently apply a thin layer of cream to the cold sore.
• Repeat at least 4 times a day as needed until the cold sore completely disappears, usually within 4-5 days.

Warnings and restrictions

• Cold sores are very contagious.
• Try not to kiss other people, especially babies and children, until your cold sore has healed.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Store in a cool, dark, dry place (between 15°C and 25° C).
