Product Information

Germoloids Ointment treats the symptoms of haemorrhoids (piles). It contains active ingredients to help reduce the painful swelling and soothe the itching and irritation, plus a local anaesthetic for effective relief from pain and discomfort.

How to use

• Apply the ointment to the affected area at least twice a day, leaving a minimum of 3 to 4 hours between applications.
• Further applications can be made at any time of the day, and are particularly recommended after a bowel movement.
• Do not use the ointment more than 4 times in any 24–hour period.
• Germoloids Ointment is not recommended tor children under the age of 12 years unless under the supervision of a doctor.

Ingredients

• Germoloids Ointment active ingredients: lidocaine hydrochloride 0.7% and zinc oxide 6.6%, - Other ingredients including yellow soft paraffin, anhydrous lanolin, methyl salicylate, propylene glycol, menthol crystals.

Warnings or restrictions

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding: You may use Germoloids Ointment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding but, as with all medicines at this time, you should discuss it with your doctor first.

Before using Germoloids Ointment, see your doctor if you:

• continually suffer from haemorrhoids or have severe haemorrhoids
• experience excessive bleeding.

If you do not get better, see your doctor.

If any Germoloids Ointment is accidentally swallowed, tell your doctor at once.

Most people using Germoloids Ointment find that it causes them no problems. However, rarely some people experience increased local irritation, burning sensations or rashes.

If you are concerned about this, or if Germoloids Ointment affects you in any other way, stop using it and talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
