Colpermin IBS Relief Capsules are an antispasmodic used to relieve spasms and cramps in the large bowel in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). 

The capsules contain peppermint oil, which relaxes the spasm of the bowel wall. This relieves pain and allows pockets of gas, which may have made you feel bloated, to pass along the bowel and out of the body. 

IBS is a condition in which there is pain, spasm and bloating at almost any point between the groin, the navel and the sides, sometimes accompanied by diarrhoea and constipation. 

The symptoms may be more noticeable when you are feeling stressed and anxious. 

***Dosage instructions***

- Adults and children 15 years and over: Take ONE capsule three times a day.  
- If symptoms are severe, the dose can be increased to TWO capsules taken three times a day. 
- Do not take capsules immediately after food. 
- The capsules should be taken until symptoms are resolved, normally within one to two weeks. 
- Treatment can be continued for longer periods of between two to three months,when symptoms are more persistent. 
- If you experience new symptoms or worsening of existing symptoms, consult your doctor.

***Ingredients***

- The active ingredient is: Peppermint oil 0.2 ml
- Other ingredients are Gelatin, colloidal silica, titanium dioxide (E171), indigotine (E132), Eudragit L, Eudragit S, triethyl citrate, ammonia, monostearin, polyethyleneglycol 4000, talc, purified water, beeswax, refined Arachis (peanut) oil

**Warnings or restrictions**

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist:

- if this is the first time that you have suffered from these symptoms
- if you are aged 40 years or over and it has been some time since your last attack of IBS or your symptoms have changed
- if your symptoms worsen or do not improve over 2 weeks
- if you are taking any indigestion remedies
- if you have passed blood from your bowel
- if you are vomiting or feeling nauseous
- if you have lost your appetite or have unexplained weight loss 
- if you are unusually pale or tired
- if you have severe constipation
- if you have a fever
- if you have recently travelled abroad
- if you have abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge 
- if you have difficulty or pain when passing urine. 

If any of these above apply to you now or have applied in the past, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Colpermin IBS Relief Capsules are not recommended for children under 15 years old.

Do not take this medicine if you have ever had a bad reaction to any of the ingredients, or if you are allergic to peanuts or soya.

***Taking other medicines***

This product is unlikely to interact with other medication. However, please speak to your pharmacist or doctor if you are using any other medication related to the stomach or bowels.

**Product Information**

Provides effective relief from stomach pain. 
Buscopan IBS Relief tablets contain the active ingredient hyoscine butylbromide, which is derived from natural hyoscine, extracted from the duboisia plant. Hyoscine butylbromide is from the family of drugs known as antispasmodic.

***Dosage instructions***

Adults and children 12 years or over: 

- Start by taking 1 tablet three times a day.
- If needed, increase your dose to a maximum of 2 tablets four times a day.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water.
- Do not crush or chew the tablet.  
- Not recommended for children under 12 years

***Ingredients***

- Active ingredient: Hyoscine butylbromide 10mg
- Other ingredients: calcium hydrogen phosphate, maize starch, soluble starch, colloidal silica, tartaric acid, stearic acid, sucrose, talc, acacia, titanium dioxide, macrogol 6000, carnauba wax, white beeswax and povidone

**Warnings or restrictions**

There is no maximum time frame for taking Buscopan IBS Relief. However, if symptoms persist for longer than two weeks, or if new symptoms develop, consult your doctor.

You should consult your doctor before taking Buscopan IBS Relief if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or if you are breastfeeding 

You should consult your doctor before you take Buscopan IBS Relief if you are taking an antidepressant, major tranquilliser, antihistamine, antiviral drug, dopamine antagonist (e.g. metoclopramide), or medicine to treat a heart problem.

Do not use this product if you have glaucoma (eye condition), megacolon (enlarged colon), myasthenia gravis (rare muscle weakness), or are allergic to hyoscine butylbromide or any of the other ingredients.

Only take Buscopan IBS Relief if your doctor has said that you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). 

***Do not take Buscopan IBS Relief if:*** 

- you are allergic to hyoscine butylbromide or any of the other ingredients of BUSCOPAN   IBS RELIEF
- you are intolerant to or cannot digest some sugars (as the tablet coating contains a small amount of sucrose) 
- you have glaucoma (an eye condition) 
- you have myasthenia gravis (a very rare muscle weakness disease) 
- you have a suspected or confirmed bowel blockage 
- you have a condition where the bowel is blocked and does not work properly (paralytic or obstructive ileus). Symptoms include severe abdominal pain with lack of stools and/or nausea/vomiting.
- you have a very enlarged bowel (megacolon) 
- you are pregnant, likely to get pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Do not take this medicine if any of the above applies to you. If you are not sure, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before taking this medicine.

***Taking other medicines***

Please tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. This includes herbal medicines. Buscopan IBS Relief can affect the way some other medicines work, while some other medicines can affect the way Buscopan IBS Relief works. 

In particular, tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: 

- antihistamines to treat hay fever and other allergies 
- tetracyclic or tricyclic medicines to treat depression and some types of pain 
- antipsychotic medicines such as butyrophenones or phenothiazines to treat severe mental illness such as schizophrenia 
- dopamine antagonists such as metoclopramide for feeling sick 
- beta-2 adrenergic medicines such as salbutamol inhalers for asthma 
- quinidine or disopyramide, used to control your heartbeat 
- amantadine, used for Parkinson’s disease and flu 
- anticholinergic medicines such as tiotropium, ipratropium or atropine-like medicines, usually inhaled to treat breathing problems   

TEST Imodium Plus Comfort Tablets (6 Tablets)

**Product summary**

Imodium Plus Comfort Tablets is a medicine used to treat sudden, short-lived (acute) attacks of diarrhoea and calm additional abdominal discomfort such as cramps, wind and bloating. 

The tablets contain loperamide hydrochloride, which helps reduce diarrhoea by slowing down an overactive bowel, helping the body to absorb water and salts from the bowel. 

The tablets also contain simeticone, which is an anti-foaming agent that breaks up trapped wind in the bowel that causes cramps and bloating. 

This medicine is for use in adults and children aged 12 years and over.

***Dosage information:***

- Adults over 18 years old: Swallow two tablets initially, followed by one tablet after each loose bowel movement. 
- Children and young adults (12 to 18 years): Swallow one tablet initially, followed by one tablet after each loose bowel movement. 
- Do not take more than 4 tablets in any 24 hour period. 
- Do not take for more than 48 hours. 
- If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours talk to your doctor

***Ingredients***

- The active ingredients are: Loperamide hydrochloride (2 mg per caplet) and Simeticone (measured as 125 mg dimeticone per caplet).
- The other ingredients are: Calcium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous, microcrystalline cellulose, acesulfame potassium, artificial vanilla flavour (includes propylene glycol, maltodextrin and benzyl alcohol), sodium starch glycolate (type A) and stearic acid.


**Warnings and restrictions**

If you have AIDS and your stomach becomes swollen, stop taking the tablets immediately and contact your doctor.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist:

- if you suffer from liver disease
- if your diarrhoea lasts for more than 48 hours
- if you have severe diarrhoea, as your body loses more fluid, sugars and salts than normal
- if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant. 

This medicine may make you feel dizzy, tired or sleepy. If affected do not drive or operate machinery. 

Imodium Plus Comfort Tablets only treat the symptoms of diarrhoea. In some cases, the cause of your diarrhoea may require treatment. 

If symptoms persist or worsen, please contact your doctor. 

When you have diarrhoea, your body can lose large amounts of fluids and salts. 

You will need to replace the fluid by drinking more liquid than usual. 

Ask your pharmacist about powders (oral rehydration therapy) which replace fluids and salts lost during diarrhoea.

***Taking other medicines***

Talk to a doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including: 

- quinidine (used to treat abnormal heart rhythms or malaria) 
- itraconazole or ketoconazole (antifungal medicines) 
- gemfibrozil (used to treat high cholesterol) 
- ritonavir (used to treat HIV infection and AIDS) 
- desmopressin (used to control thirst and urine production in patients with diabetes insipidus)
