Gaviscon Extra Strength Chewable Tablets are used to treat the symptoms of heartburn, acid indigestion, and upset or sour stomach. These may occur following meals or during pregnancy.

Gaviscon Extra Strength Chewable Tablets bring long-lasting relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn and acid indigestion.

The tablets are a combination of two antacids – aluminum hydroxide and magnesium carbonate – and an alginate.

The tablets get to work in two different ways:

• neutralizing excess stomach acid to relieve pain and discomfort

• forming a protective barrier over the stomach contents to soothe the burning pain in your chest

Dosage instructions

For oral administration.

Chew thoroughly before swallowing.

Read the package leaflet before use.

Adults and children over 12 years: When symptoms occur, chew two to four tablets after meals and at bedtime, up to four times a day. Follow with a half glass of water.

Children under 12 years should only use this product on medical advice from a doctor.

You can take this product if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.

Ingredients

Active ingredients: Each tablet contains: Aluminum Hydroxide 160 mg and Magnesium Carbonate 105 mg. Each tablet contains Magnesium 35 mg and Sodium 20 mg.

Other ingredients: Alginic Acid; Calcium Stearate; Flavor; Sodium Bicarbonate; Sucrose. May contain Stearic Acid. Contains Sorbitol or Mannitol. May contain Starch.

Do not take more than 16 tablets in 24 hours.
