Pepto Bismol Ultra provides fast relief for your tummy troubles, including traveler’s diarrhea, diarrhea, upset stomach due to overindulgence in food or drink, heartburn, indigestion, nausea, gas, belching, and fullness.

Dosage instructions

Shake well before use. Use dose cup provided.

Adults and children 12 years and older: 15 mL (1 dose) every ½ hour or 30 mL (2 doses) every hour as needed for diarrhea/traveler's diarrhea. 15mL (1 dose) every ½ hour as needed for overindulgence (upset stomach, heartburn, indigestion, nausea). Do not exceed 8 doses (120 mL) in 24 hours. Use until diarrhea stops but not more than 2 days.

Children under 12 years: Ask a doctor.

Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.

Ingredients

Active: (in each 15 mL dose) Bismuth subsalicylate 525 mg.

Inactive: benzoic acid, D&C Red No. 22, D&C Red No. 28, flavor, gellan gum, magnesium aluminum silicate, methylcellulose, salicylic acid, sodium salicylate, sorbic acid, sucralose, water.

Each 30 mL dose contains magnesium 3 mg, sodium 2 mg, salicylate 230 mg.

Warnings and Restriction

Read all product packaging and labels carefully prior to use.

• Do not give to children or teenagers who are recovering from chicken pox or flu-like symptoms because of a chance of Reye’s syndrome.

• Aspirin may cause a severe allergic reaction.

• May cause stomach bleeding, especially in those over 60 years, previous stomach problems, taking a blood thinner or steroid, taking other NSAIDs, or taking more than 3 alcoholic drinks per day.

• Consult a doctor before using if are taking medications for diabetes, gout, or arthritis.

• When using this product, a temporary, but harmless, darkening of the stool and/or tongue may occur.

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if you have other medical conditions or are taking medications.

• See a doctor if symptoms get worse or persist for more than 10 days or if you have ringing in the ears.

• Ask a healthcare professional before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
